Hilary Swank has broken off her engagement to former tennis professional Ruben Torres, just three months after accepting his proposal.
The Oscar winner announced her happy news on Instagram.com back in March, when she shared a photo of herself posing alongside her new fiance, with her engagement ring on show.
"Went on a hike and this happened!," she captioned the sweet snapshot. "I am so happy to announce the engagement to my dear Ruben."
However, it appears the romance was not meant to be and the couple has since ended its relationship and parted ways.
Hilary was spotted without a sparkler on her left ring finger as she attended the 2016 French Open on Saturday, and now a representative for the "Million Dollar Baby" star has confirmed to People.com she is single again.
The 41-year-old, who has yet to personally comment on the news, has also deleted the engagement announcement from her social media pages.
The actress began dating Ruben in July, 2015, and they made their red carpet debut in December, while attending DuJour Magazine's annual kick-off party for Art Basel in Miami, Florida.
The marriage would have been Hilary's second, having previously tied the knot with actor Chad Lowe in 1997. The pair met on the set of 1997 film Quiet Days in Hollywood, in which the actress played a prostitute, and they wed that September.
The stars divorced in 2007 and Swank then embarked on a six-year relationship with her agent John Campisi, who she split from in 2012.
